Fisker has collaborated with the Rölunda Vålberg factory for many years. The factory is one of Sweden’s largest producers of potting soil, and the cooperation also extends to the service area, where there is a highly proactive partnership.
Four times a year, we visit the Rölunda Vålberg factory for proactive service visits, carefully scheduled around Rölunda’s peak season. It begins with a thorough inspection of all machines to identify worn parts and order spare parts ahead of the service visit, and this cycle is repeated twice a year. This ensures that the machines are in top condition before the high season – and Rölunda Vålberg minimizes critical production stoppages.
Breakdowns Cost Productivity and Focus
Factory Manager Jan Lundell from Rölunda Vålberg has done all the calculations. “Every time we have to fix the same issues multiple times, we lose both production and focus. I know exactly what it costs when a machine is down – from lost production, to employees on standby, trucks waiting to be loaded, and overtime to catch up on the lost output,” he explains. “It’s an expensive situation. That’s why we prioritize the proactive service partnership with Fisker, where we also continuously ensure that the right spare parts are in stock. It gives us peace of mind and operational reliability throughout the season.”
