Rölunda is one of Sweden’s largest producers of potting soil. To reduce CO2 emissions from transport, Rölunda has chosen to have production sites located throughout Sweden. Fisker is accompanying them in this process and taking full responsibility for setting up the packaging lines for the potting soil.
Rölunda and Fisker began their collaboration in 2020. Most recently, this collaboration has seen them setting up a factory in the south of Sweden. “At Rölunda, the line begins with an intake, whereby a large loader tips potting soil into a number of large feeding hoppers. From here, the soil is moved to the bagging machine and bagged,” Peter M. Henningsen tells us. “These are stacked on pallets, which are then wrapped in film using a stretch-film wrapping machine. A roller conveyor is used to move the pallets forward, with each individual pallet then collected by a forklift.
This is exactly the kind of solution we are experts at designing and implementing. We are the largest turnkey supplier of packaging lines for bags in the Nordic countries and are able to assume full turnkey responsibility for setting up production once construction of buildings is finished. We also take care of functionality, safety, documentation, running-in, service and spare parts, ensuring a high amount of up-time for the customers’ solutions. Rölunda is aware of this, and it also reassures them that they will get the best-possible quality and most-efficient production.”
