At Fisker, our competent employees are always ready to help our customers, to ensure that they get the best possible uptime with their packaging lines. This applies when we design and implement new lines, and also when something unforeseen happens at the customer’s location, demanding urgent action.
Swedish company Skutskärs Trä experienced such a situation one a Thursday, when a large gearmotor in one of their robots malfunctioned. This resulted in their packaging line coming to a complete standstill. “Our technician team knows the customer well and carried out a rapid analysis of the problem,” said CEO Peter M. Henningsen. “They reached the conclusion that the defective robot could be replaced with a robot we had in stock. We quickly arrived at the customer’s location with the new robot, installed it immediately together with new software and by Monday the following week, the packaging line was operating again. Short downtime is crucial. Otherwise, they can quickly lag behind with the planned deliveries.”
Fire in raw materials warehouse
A fire broke out in BMR Produkter AB’s raw materials warehouse in Malmbäck in Sweden, and the whole infeed to the packaging line for the packaging of peat and bedding was severely damaged. “We quickly had a team of technicians at the customer’s location and analysed the extent of the problem and potential solution in collaboration with the customer,” said Peter M. Henningsen. “Together with the customer, we had the opportunity to assess the damage and move some of the equipment, so that the line could quickly operate again while at the same time, new machine parts were manufactured.”
Close collaboration is a high priority
Skutskärs Trä and BMR Produkter work in close collaboration with Fisker, which prioritises close and long-term collaboration with customers, which often also includes a service agreement. “When we know the customer’s lines well and carry out service on them on a regular basis, we can help to solve unforeseen issues much faster,” said Peter M. Henningsen. “Our technicians have extensive competency in analysing and solving problems. This benefits our customers when they need rapid on-site assistance.”
