More than 3000 machines have been registered by Fisker’s documentation manager, Inga Jensen, in the new online service portal. This is opening up brand new ways of looking up specific information quickly about a certain machine. With more precise searches available across the registered machines, it is also going to be possible to gain new knowledge for daily work tasks.
A big help with daily work tasks
All of the machines in the system have been sold by Fisker over the years, and remain in operation on customers’ premises. “We have registered all the machines with information such as the serial number, warranty, model, project number, manufacturer, the line it runs on at the customer’s business, documentation and any other specific details,” Inga tells us. “This will enable both the customer and our service technicians to be more targeted in their searches and get the exact information they are looking for much faster. The work we are currently doing is an extensive task. Everything has to be tested all the time so that we know that it works as it should. We are really pleased about all of the benefits the system is delivering.”
Preparations in full swing
Fisker’s online service portal is going to include a full history for each individual machine, plus service checklists, documentation and, for example, any service appointments scheduled in the future.
“We are now uploading all service reports after service appointments too,” says Technical Manager Lasse Høgh. “We are almost ready for the customers to start using the system, and expect this to happen over the summer. Each individual customer will be provided with a unique login to their own data. This login can be forwarded to operators who work with the machines on an ongoing basis. Doing this also makes their work easier.”
