There was a lot of measuring, calculating and designing by Fisker’s project department before the new solution for Södra Århults Torv AB finally came together. The customer’s space limitations gave rise to some challenges which were overcome in collaboration with Fisker.
Fisker has worked with Södra Århults in southern Sweden for many years. “We are happy that they chose to work with us again when they needed to design and install a new state-of-the-art packaging line for their potting soil and substrates. This was to replace their old line which we have also supplied”, says Peter M. Henningsen.

Challenging space constraints
A great deal of creativity by Fisker’s project department has gone into designing a solution which would fit into the space and actually get into the premises. The solution was worked out in close cooperation with the experienced personnel at Södra Århults who knew exactly what equipment they wanted and worked hard to ensure that they got everything they needed. The answer was to lift the roof so that the machines could be winched into the building with a large crane. Everything went according to plan and Fisker’s engineers were ready to install the whole line, in collaboration with the customer.
Low noise and swift product changing
The new packaging line is faster, quieter and more flexible than the previous one. “The customer is really happy with the new solution which is both good for the working environment and, at the same time, faster to adjust for shorter runs”, explains Peter M. Henningsen. “It also increases the customer’s productivity and flexibility.”
