Fisker Skanderborg has designed and supplied a packing line to Raisio for the packing of fish feed in bags. The line was designed specifically for the customer’s requirements and the space available.
Raisio plc is an international company which specialises in healthy food. The food and feed production focuses on sustainability. The company’s head office is located in the town of Raisio in the south of Finland. Raisioagro is a forerunner in the environmental matters of fish feeds and in related innovations.
New bagging plant with increased speed and capacity
Raisio has produced fish feed since 1982 and has a leading position in the market for rainbow trout feed in Finland and Russia.
Lately, Fisker has designed and supplied a new packing line. This solution provides for Raisio more flexibility in production planning. The new packing line contains a tubular foil machine, a stretch hood machine and a robot palletiser. To this should be added a complete labelling solution with the option of printing on both bags and pallets.
Robot solution minimises damage
This solution marks Raisio’s entry into the ‘world of robots’ with the new robot palletiser, which lifts the bags from the line and with millimetre precision places them on the pallets, ready for loading. This also creates greater certainty that the bags are not damaged during handling.
Special space requirements
“The solution was designed to meet the customer’s specific space requirements, which presented challenges in terms of both height and width,” says Sales Director Peter M.
