SOLARIS EVO is a new, vertical, high-speed packaging machine of the type ”form, fill & seal”. On this machine, the film can be transported in two directions, thus making it possible to produce both traditional pillow bags and more exclusive stand-up pouches on the same machine.
“The main advantages of the new SOLARIS EVO are increased production speed, reduced change-over time from one type of bag to another and more aesthetically pleasing bags,” says Sales Manager Flemming Foldager from Fisker. “Ongoing control of film tension and centring as well as the even pull guarantees both an attractive appearance and tight seals.”
Film from two sides
On a SOLARIS EVO machine, the film can be transported in two directions. This makes it possible to produce not only standard pillow bags but also steelo-bags, block bottom bags and doy-style bags.
Film coming from side A:
When the film comes from side A, the machine can produce pillow bags, steelo-bags or block bottom bags.
Film coming from side B:
When the film comes from side B, the machine can produce three or four-side sealed pillow bags with/without zip and eurohole or doy-style bags also with/without zip and eurohole.
The machine has a maximum speed of 150 pillow bags, 100 doy-style bags and 100 steelo-bags per minute.

Reduced change-over time
The machine has a number of technical features such as double reel-holder shaft and easy film splice, doy-style sealing unit with complete replacement of the forming assembly and a two-way film transport system. “All these new technological features have resulted in a significant reduction of change-over time from one bag format to another,” Flemming Foldager further explains.
New possibilities in the market
The machine is of particular interest to customers who want a single machine with high capacity which can produce both traditional pillow bags and exclusive stand-up pouches in different shapes and sizes.
