Ekolution is a Swedish company that specializes in the use of hemp. Hemp can be used for many things, including environmentally friendly and effective insulation.
Hemp binds CO₂ as it grows, and Ekolution’s products are designed to have a low environmental impact throughout their lifecycle. The products can be recycled or composted at the end of their useful life.
Packing insulation and bedding
Ekolution has collaborated with Fisker on several solutions. “We have delivered and installed a solution for palletizing and subsequent wrapping of the pallets for their insulation material packing line,” says CEO Peter M. Henningsen. “In addition, we have a complete packaging line for animal bedding, which is a residual product from the hemp used in the production of insulation.
For both solutions, we have made several adjustments to the machines so that they can handle the products optimally. Here we have benefited greatly from our extensive insight and experience.”
Solutions with a focus on the environment
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, through its climate initiative Klimatklivet, has supported the project at Ekolution. “It’s really exciting to be involved in projects where customers find alternative and more environmentally friendly solutions,” says Peter. “We appreciate being able to offer our expertise and generally see an increased focus on solutions that promote the green transition.”
