Our expectations to the food industry are constantly rising. Consumers expect that the food industry uses innovative packaging solutions to extend the shelf-life of food and reduce food waste. Unsurprisingly, this affects the demands on the packaging lines of the future.
In this trend, resealable packaging solutions pop up frequently, and Fisker Skanderborg experiences a growing interest from the food industry for packaging lines that can handle this type of packaging. This is the experience of sales manager Flemming Foldager.
Innovative solutions make new demands
‘The innovative resealable solutions both reduce costs and provide product benefits for the food industry,’ explains Flemming Foldager. ‘This trend naturally affects us, and we see how the solutions become increasingly complex and are required to handle several types of resealable bags and other ingenious forms of packaging.’
Packaging machines from PFM fulfil the demands
Fisker has a close collaborative partnership with the Italian machinery manufacturer PFM Packaging Machinery. They have a broad range of packaging machines, including several horizontal flow-pack wrapping machines, such as Scirocco and BG2800, which fulfil the rising demands.
‘PFM has many years of experience developing innovative solutions that set new standards for both production and operations,’ says Flemming Foldager and he continues: ‘For example, their machinery is designed to handle MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) combined with resealability; in addition, their machines are really easy to clean. All in all, these features make them highly suitable for the food industry.’
Value-creating solutions
Fisker’s extensive knowhow of putting together the right solutions combined with the company’s collaboration with the leading machinery manufacturers in Europe provide for an excellent basis to produce outstanding solutions for the food industry that match individual needs and live up to the demands of the future. ‘We have provided successful solutions to very different branches of the food industry, such as fish and biscuits,’ explains Flemming Foldager. ‘And we are obviously always ready to enter into a dialogue with new customers in order to work out how we can solve their specific challenges with packaging.’
