Danish Agro’s packaging line is in continuous development in collaboration with Fisker. The most recent addition was the installation of a fully automated end-of-line stretch film wrapper.
Danish Agro was founded in 1901 as a local cooperative. Today, the organisation employs more that 5,200 people and is owned by 8,250 Danish farmers. Danish Agro’s main business is the sale of animal feed, raw materials for pre-mixed vitamins, fertilisers, seeds as well as the purchase of agricultural crops.
Providing a wide range of products, flexible equipment for bagging is essential. The Danish Agro products range from pellet products which are easy to handle, to rolled products with low relative density and feed mixes with molasses and hay. The plant is therefore designed and adapted to handle awkward and diverse products.
“The packaging line at Danish Agro has an approximate capacity of 500 sacks per hour. The line has several supply lines and can therefore be used for a variety of products“, explains Peter M. Henningsen, Fisker’s Managing Director. “The line has an integrated palletizing solution which can press the layers from both the sides and top as not all the bags will fit on the pallet initially. With the latest addition of the stretch film wrapper, the customer now has a fully automated solution, from the intake of the product to the finished pallets for delivery. Our continued collaboration with Danish Agro, to help develop their solutions, is highly valued by us.”
