For several years, Fisker Skanderborg has been northern Europe’s leading supplier of packaging solutions for bags, sacks and cartons. New collaboration with leading international machinery suppliers is strengthening the company’s food industry portfolio.
Fisker Skanderborg has concluded collaboration agreements with the Italian company PFM Packaging Machinery and the German machinery suppliers SESOTEC (previously S+S) and Höfelmeyer. PFM is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of retail packaging solutions, while SESOTEC specialises in equipment used to detect foreign bodies, and Höfelmeyer specialises in weighing technology and price labelling equipment.
Extending our experience
“Our new agreements will allow us to extend our considerable experience with total packaging solutions to include equipment from PFM, SESOTEC and Höfelmeyer,” says Sales Manager Flemming Foldager from Fisker. “The three companies are all food industry specialists, which add to our existing strength in this area.”
Architect of customer solutions
Fisker thus functions as the architect of the final packaging line and guarantees the customer that the individual machines function as intended when combined to form a production line.
The entire project is based on Fisker’s collaboration with selected quality suppliers, each with a different area of specialisation and specialist knowledge. This gives Fisker access to a wide range of products, which the company can combine to create customer-specific production plants that are tailored to the needs of the customers.
Fisker assumes total responsibility
In addition, Fisker assumes responsibility for the entire solution. “This ensures that there are no grey areas at the interface between different suppliers, which can happen if several business partners are involved in the same solution,” says Flemming Foldager. “We handle functionality, risk assessment, CE marking, commissioning, service and spare parts and thereby guarantee the customer a high degree of uptime for their solutions.”
High expectations
Fisker has already been contacted by several companies in the food industry who would like to know more about the possibilities the new equipment presents. “Many companies are extremely pleased that we have such solid experience with the development of packaging solutions, which their companies can now benefit from,” says Flemming Foldager. “We look forward to discussing the new opportunities with even more companies in the food industry.”
