It is often too expensive to produce pre-printed foil when packaging small quantities. Fisker has therefore developed a system according to which it is possible to print directly on bags and sacks during the packaging process.
The system is typically used in packaging lines producing small series, for example when a garden centre needs to package 25 pallets with potting soil carrying their own private label. “In recent years, we have experienced a growing demand for these types of solutions, says Sales Director Peter M. Henningsen from Fisker. “The requirements vary completely from one customer to the next.”
Large range of applications
Fisker has thus delivered solutions that can print, for example, a list of feed ingredients, a quality stamp for tracing purposes or a certificate on wooden pellets. The solution also works in very dusty environments, as the entire printer is encased in a protective box.

Fisker also handles challenges involving printing and labelling of pallets
Production series of varying sizes that need to be packaged on pallets are not easily handled using traditional methods, if the goods are labelled while on the pallet. “If you work with a flow of pallets of different heights, the entire process requires the use of a stretch wrapper and labelling equipment. This means that the printer and label applicator must be able to move up and down automatically, and this is not a standard function,” says Peter M. Henningsen. “We have solved this challenge for several customers, who now have very well-functioning solutions.”
Flexibility
“With this printing solution, the customer can also choose whether to print on foil or attach labels directly to a bag or a pallet. We offer different sizes of foil printers depending on the size of required print layout,” says Peter M. Henningsen. “This creates the type of flexibility our customers are looking for when running small productions series.”
