In collaboration with Fisker, Gyllebo Gødning has optimised its pellet fertiliser packaging line. The collaboration creates new opportunities for Fisker in the Swedish market.
Gyllebo Gødning is part of the Lantmännen agricultural cooperative in Sweden and is a market leader in the production of organic fertiliser in Sweden.
Optimisation of packaging line
In collaboration with Fisker Skanderborg, the company has optimised its existing packaging line with a new bagging machine, a scale, a roller conveyor and a printer as well as a second-hand stretch film wrapper. Everything has been integrated with an existing robot palletising system.
Automation and lower costs
With the new packaging line, Gyllebo Gødning has automated several work processes and reduced their packaging costs. “Today, the pellet fertiliser is wrapped in plastic from a roll, which is subsequently formed, filled and sealed. Everything happens in a single operating cycle in the bagging machine,” says Sales Director Peter M. Henningsen from Fisker. “This solution substantially reduces the costs of materials compared with the valve bags the customer previously used. At the same time, the work process has been automated, and the amount of monotonous, repetitive work in production has been reduced.”
