Fisker’s extensive experience with the development of solutions for packaging of wood pellets now forms the basis of a new and 50% faster robotic system for packing sacks on pallets.
Over the years, Fisker has accumulated extensive experience with the entire logistical flow related to the handling and packaging of wood pellets. Thanks to this experience, the company can now meet the market’s demands for faster palletising solutions after developing a new robotic system.
A 50% increase in speed
“The system is designed and produced in-house and is based on the concept that the palletising robot handles several sacks per cycle rather than only one, as in a traditional solution. The capacity has been increased from 1,000 bags per hour to 1,500 bags,” says Sales Director Peter M. Henningsen from Fisker. “This enables our customers to substantially improve their productivity and the overall profitability of the machine.”
Interest in robotic solutions continues to grow
Fisker finds that the robotic systems they sell increasingly differ from traditional solutions.“In general, we experience a growing interest in robotic solutions,” says Peter M. Henningsen. “We import NACHI robots from Japan and subsequently tailor the robotic system to the customer’s specific needs. NACHI has a very broad product range, and we are therefore able to meet the different demands our customers have to their solutions.”
Up until today, Fisker has sold more than 30 systems with built-in robots, and the company expects the sale of such systems to continue to grow.
